Kudadoo Maldives Private Island was officially opened on 26th December 2018 by H.E. Mr Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, The President of the Republic of Maldives.
In the presence of Honourable Minister of Tourism and Minister of Planning the President welcomed the Maldives’ first truly luxury all-inclusive private island and recognized its important impact on the future of the luxury travel landscape in the Maldives.
Just days before this ceremony was taking place in Lhaviyani Atoll, Kudadoo Maldives Private Island was revealed as the best new luxury hotel opened 2018 in the world.
By a global independent organization “Luxury Travel Intelligence – www.lti-members.com”, published in CNN Travel. The list comprised 15 exceptional properties, each identified by independent researchers from a total of 42 travel experts. LTI Founder Michael Compton commented: “We thoroughly research every property, on our own dollar, as we are passionate about what we do – and bring truth to luxury travel”.
Kudadoo Maldives Private Island by Hurawalhi is an exclusive resort comprising just 15 expansive, over water Ocean Residences. Kudadoo is the first top-end 5-star deluxe resort in the Maldives to be truly fully inclusive with its anything, anytime, anywhere concept; from unscripted dining experiences, on the beach or on your private terrace, to in, on and above the water adventures and incredible spa treatments. Ideal for exclusive hire, Kudadoo also offers additional accommodation for guests’ personal team.
“All aspects of the Kudadoo’s offering is influenced by its natural Maldivian surroundings, from the experiences, dining options, natural lighting, open spaces, curated décor and sustainable design,” says Bradley Calder, General Manager: Kudadoo and Hurawalhi. Designed by renowned architect Yuji Yamasaki, Kudadoo is inspired by traditional Japanese architecture with gently sloping roofs, graceful curves and stunning vistas.
The Retreat – a central complex based over the water alongside the intimate 30,000sqm island – is home to the spa, restaurant (including a wine cellar and cheese room), bar, games room and swimming pool. Its design includes perhaps the highest vantage point in the Maldives built on the sea and 300kw of solar panels integrated into the stepped sloping roof, which can fully power the island – one of the first sustainable deluxe resorts of its kind in the Maldives.
Inside The Retreat guests will find Sulha Spa of well-being, featuring carefully selected organic Healing Ocean products from Healing Earth and skillfully combined with the healing power of touch, ensuring guests receive some of the best massages and facials in the Maldives. Treatments include ‘Touched by the Ocean’ massage or ‘Morning Light Rituals’ encompassing a beach yoga session. The spa features the only Himalayan Salt Room in the Maldives, a nail bar, a steam room, sauna and treatment rooms, as well as a fully equipped gym with a personal trainer, yoga instructor and meditation guru.
All 13 one-bedroom Ocean Residences and 2 two-bedroom Ocean Residences are linked by a walkway. These totally private villas – some of the largest in the Maldives – offer ocean seclusion and includes super-king-sized beds, in-villa baths as well as indoor and outdoor showers, 44 sqm terrace pools and one of the largest sundecks in the Maldives. The interiors also include the first Bang & Olufsen audio systems and IPTV (including Netflix and Spotify).
All villas are located 10-20 meters away from the reef edge of one of the Maldives most healthy and vibrant coral reefs.
Kudadoo Maldives Private Island by Hurawalhi is managed by Bradley Calder as part of Crown & Champa Resorts collection. The resort can be booked entirely for exclusive use from $80,000 – $140,000 per night depending on the season, alternatively residences can also be booked from $3,800 per night.
