Maldives will restart issuing tourist visas to South Asian travelers starting from mid next month onwards.
According to a tweet by the Ministry of Tourism, Maldives will restart issuing on arrival tourist visas to South Asian tourists starting from 15th July 2021.
Tourists will need to present a negative PCR test result to enter the country. Further details will be revealed accordingly.

Maldives had temporarily halted issuing tourist visas to South Asian tourists starting from 13th May, in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19 which had experienced a surge in the region.
Tourist arrivals from the South Asia region may resume on July 15th, but this is subject to change with respect to the COVID-19 situation in the next few weeks.
