Maldives wins World’s Leading Beach Destination 2019 at World Travel Awards

The Maldives has won the ‘World’s Leading Beach Destination 2019’ at the World Travel Awards held at Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman on 28th November 2019. The Maldives also bagged the ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Beach Destination 2019’, ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination 2019’ and ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination 2019’.

The Maldives competed with 15 destinations around the world including destinations from Thailand, Mexico, and the United States to win the ‘World’s Leading Beach Destination 2019’ at World Travel Awards.

The Maldives won a total of 7 awards at this year’s World Travel Awards including the awards won by the resorts. They include:
