Maldivian Operates Repatriation Flights for Thailand Nationals

Maldivian has operated a repatriation flight to send back citizens of Thailand in the Maldives, who has been unable to return to their country amidst the lockdown.

In a tweet by the airline, they have confirmed that a repatriation flight has already left for Bangkok with 55 citizens of Thailand and care packages to Maldivians.

Maldivian has also revealed that 2 more repatriations to Thailand are scheduled to repatriate expatriate workers of Thailand and tourists who are stranded due to the lockdown.

The airline has also operated a special charter flight to repatriate the South Africans and Mauritians stranded in Maldives last week.

In addition to this, Maldivian has been working with the authorities in conducting repatriation flights for Maldivians stranded abroad in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Maldivian has temporarily suspended all the domestic flights as the Male’ city has come to a state of lockdown.
