Minor Hotels Maldives has appointed Mohamed Hussain Shihab as the new Director of Human Resources of Anantara Dhigu Resort, Anantara Veli Resort and Naladhu Private Island Maldives effective 1st August.
He is an experienced Human Resources Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry; skilled in Hotel Management, Hospitality Industry, Administration, Management, and Hiring.
Shihab first joined Minor Hotels in 2014 as an HR & Training Coordinator at Anantara Kihavah Villas already with 3 years of experience in Human Resources from brands such as Centara Grand and Crown & Champa Resorts.
He left Anantara Kihavah in mid-2015 to take on a supervisory role in the newly opened InterContinental Dubai Marina HR team in UAE. He later returned to Minor Hotels as an Assistant HR Manager at Anantara Maldives & Naladhu Private Island in August 2016.
Since December 2017, Shihab had been leading the HR function as the HR Manager.
The Anantara experience was born in 2001 with the first luxury property in Thailand’s historic seaside retreat of Hua Hin. Currently, Anantara Hotels, Resorts, and Spas have five properties in the Maldives including Anantara Dhigu Resort, Anantara Veli Resort, Anantara Kihavah Villas, Naladhu Private Island Maldives and Niyama Private Islands.
