Patina Maldives, Fari Islands Appoints Hussain Ahusan as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Adding to its growing list of young local talent, Patina Maldives, Fari Islands has appointed Hussain Ahusan as its new Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.

Ahusan joins the Patina Maldives pre-opening team from his role of Restaurant Manager of the acclaimed tree top high-end dining restaurant Terra and The Rock Wine Cellar Cave at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi.

With extensive experience in the luxury food and beverage sector Ahusan managed the pre-opening of The Ledge by Dave Pynt, heralded by Michelin Star Chef Dave Pynt. Prior to managing The Ledge, Ahusan completed a vigorous management training program at Michelin Star Restaurant Burnt Ends in Singapore.

As a graduate of Hilton’s Management Development Program, prior to joining the pre-opening team of Waldorf Astoria Maldives, Ahusan previously held positions at Double Tree by Hilton Penang in Malaysia, Hilton Sukhumvit in Bangkok and Conrad Maldives Rangali Island.

Ahusan has had experience working for a number of brands including Four Seasons Resorts Maldives at Landa Giraivaru, The Westin Kuala Lumpur, W Maldives and Sheraton Maldives. Ahusan also worked as an Associate Lecturer in The Maldives National University. In addition to his experience, Ahusan also holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in International Hospitality Management from Taylors University, Malaysia.

Patina Maldives, Fari Islands will be the first launch under Patina Hotels & Resorts, a new sophisticated lifestyle brand by Capella Hotel Group, which was created for progressive travelers of a new generation.
