Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Conducts “Surface Interval #11”

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort has conducted “Surface Interval #11”, a full day of learning and enjoying oceans wonders.

Surface Interval was held on 8th June as a celebration of world ocean day. The interactive session was hosted inside the resort’s aqua-villa during the afternoon. It was open for all to pop by and enjoy the reef, it’s inhabitants without breaking a sweat or a swim!

The resident marine biologist was there to point out the tiny yellow boxfish that you would probably not notice and to explain what is a branching coral and how differentiate between surgeon-fish and butterfly-fish.

The resort informs that it was a perfect day to enjoy the oceans. They also got the chance to witness a local bat-fish squad, and other passing by celebrities like a black tip reef shark, and even a curious octopus!

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort is located at Maamutaa Island, Gaafu Alif Atoll, 20219 Republic of Maldives. The resort is accessible via a 55-minute domestic flight from Velana International Airport in Malé, followed by a 1 5-minute speedboat ride from Kooddoo Airport.
