Maafushi’s Velana Hotels to be managed by the leading inbound tour operator, Resort Life Maldives.
Re-branded as the ‘Velana Hotels by Resort Life’, both properties (Velana Blu Maafushi and Velana Hotel) which consist of 28 rooms will be operated under the same branding.
The Managing Director of Resort Life Maldives, Shaaz Waleed stated, “Even though we are a travel-based company, with this we hope to expand and explore the other markets that will promote the brand.”
He further highlighted that the company plans on partnering with chartering flights, especially to bring tourists from Russia and Ukraine, which are two of the main markets to the Maldives, to improve and contribute to the Guesthouse industry.
Further to the properties in Maafushi, the company manages a restaurant named ‘The Keyolhu’, in Hulhumale’. Shaz also noted that the company is currently working to establish a branch of the restaurant in Maafushi.
With offices based in Ukraine & India besides the head-office in the Maldives, Resort Life Maldives has also opened an office in this year in Malaysia.
