According to Maldivian, more than one flight will operate to Kulhudhuffushi Airport every day starting from Friday.

The ticket fare is at MVR 1,113 for one way where MVR 2,226 have to be paid by passengers on a return trip. This is the same rate as the ticket fare for Ha. Hanimaadhoo.

Kulhudhuffushi Airport was developed after reclaiming land on the island’s infamous mangrove. The construction of an airport in the island was a presidential pledge of former President, Abdulla Yameen.

Even though the airport was officially opened last year, operations were put on halt due to the lack of basic necessities.
