SIX & SIX PRIVATE ISLANDS Sets Sights on Six New Resorts in the Maldives

SIX & SIX PRIVATE ISLANDS, co-founded by CEO Laith Pharaon, has unveiled the first phase of its plan to develop six resorts in the Maldives. The company aims to create a hospitality model centred on personalised service, artistic design, and a cosmopolitan lifestyle.

The first two resorts are set to open in South Malé Atoll in 2025 and 2026, each offering distinctive experiences while maintaining a shared philosophy of tailoring stays to individual guest preferences.

Pharaon highlighted the company’s focus on enhancing the guest experience by prioritising time, space, and freedom, emphasising that removing unnecessary elements ensures a journey aligned with guests’ expectations.

Director of Operations Marc Gussing, with nearly 15 years of experience in the Maldives, explained that personalised services will begin even before guests arrive, catering to those seeking customised experiences that reflect their unique preferences.

SIX & SIX PRIVATE ISLANDS has also committed to sustainability with ambitious environmental and social goals, including solar power, zero-waste practices, support for local produce, reef rehabilitation, and community programmes to preserve the Maldives’ natural environment and benefit local communities.

The first resort, RAH GILI MALDIVES, will open in late 2025 in South Malé Atoll, near a dolphin sanctuary, offering 74 pool villas, including 38 overwater options, ranging from 120 to 200 square meters, each with a private pool. Guests will enjoy diverse dining options, cultural activities, and social spaces.

In 2026, DHON MAAGA MALDIVES will follow as an ultra-luxury property, featuring 31 overwater and 25 beach villas, ranging from 250 to 400+ square meters, with private pools, wellness facilities, fine dining, and exclusive services such as private-jet transfers and a wine cellar.

Positioning itself as a key player in the Maldives’ luxury hospitality sector, SIX & SIX PRIVATE ISLANDS combines tailored experiences with sustainability-driven practices.
