The Halcyon Private Isles Maldives, Autograph Collection is set to welcome guests for Golden Week 2026 with a programme of curated experiences running from 1 to 7 October 2026. Designed around the spirit of discovery, the week-long celebration brings together culinary experiences, island adventures, family activities and thoughtful touches for guests of all generations.
From the moment of arrival, guests will be welcomed with a special seasonal amenity and a framed photograph capturing their Golden Week experience at The Halcyon. Complimentary Halcyon experiences will include dolphin excursions and sunset fishing, while Chinese-speaking team members and a specially curated Chinese menu will add familiar touches throughout the stay.
A Culinary Collaboration with Chef Pascal Steffen
A highlight of the Golden Week programme will be the culinary collaboration with Chef Pascal Steffen of Roots, Switzerland. The two-Michelin-starred chef will join The Halcyon’s culinary team for an exclusive residency, bringing his vegetable-focused approach to the island.
On 3 and 8 October, Chef Pascal will co-create exclusive dinners with The Halcyon’s culinary team, with each evening limited to no more than 16 guests. Priced at USD 388 net per person with wine and USD 288 net per person without wine, the dinners will offer a considered culinary experience inspired by the philosophy of Roots.
Chef Pascal will also host a hands-on cooking class on 6 October, sharing the techniques and thinking behind his craft. The session is priced at USD 188 net per person.
Experiences Across the Island and Ocean
Golden Week guests can explore the waters surrounding The Halcyon through a selection of experiences. Dolphin excursions offer the opportunity to drift alongside the ocean’s largest wanderers, while sunset fishing invites guests onto the lagoon as the day draws to a close.
Guests can also explore two thriving house reefs, home to more than 40 resident turtles alongside manta rays, reef sharks, eagle rays and colourful shoals. Nurse shark encounters offer another opportunity to discover the marine life around the island.
For those seeking a deeper-sea adventure, big game fishing takes guests into the southern waters, where marlin, sailfish and yellowfin tuna can be found. Half-day and full-day expeditions are available, with the activity offered at an additional charge.
Young Voyagers
Younger guests will have their own Golden Week programme through the Young Voyagers Club, with activities designed around discovery, creativity and exploration.
The programme includes Little Yogi at Sunrise, Dumpling Class, Mini Mariners, Boduberu Rhythm Academy, Little Island Chef, Sunset Explorer Picnic, Sand Architects, Castaway Challenge, Dhivehi Discovery, Wellness Potion Lab, Junior Mixologist, Bell Treasure Trail, Family Explorer Olympics, Coconut Masters, Chocolate Coral Workshop, Ocean Sound Meditation and Junior Stargazers.
The activities will take place from 1 to 7 October, offering young explorers a varied programme throughout the Golden Week celebration.
