Travel Trade Maldives has launched its TTM Destination Specialist, a dynamic online training platform on TTM Connect, designed to provide travel agents, tour operators, and tourism professionals with comprehensive knowledge of the Maldives.
This comprehensive training equips both seasoned advisors and newcomers with in-depth knowledge of the Maldives, enhancing their proficiency in selling the destination and gaining a competitive edge in the global travel market.
Members registered via TTM Connect will have access to the TTM Destination Specialist training platform. This self-paced programme starts with a compulsory “Introduction to the Maldives” course, covering the country’s geography, culture, history, and tourism essentials, setting the stage for professionals aiming to specialize in Maldivian travel. Following which, participants can take resort-specific courses, each earning a certificate of completion. These courses include questions on topics like the property’s unique selling points, geographical features, accommodation types, and other destination-specific details.
Completing 15 courses earns a Silver Badge, 30 courses a Gold Badge, and 50 courses the prestigious Platinum Badge, validating their expertise and boosting their credibility as destination specialists.
Partner resorts have the opportunity to develop tailored programmes, adjusting difficulty, focus areas, and add value as required. The TTM Destination Specialist platform provides access to resort profiles and information, equipping professionals with the resources to become destination experts. In the near future, TTM Destination Specialist will launch webinars and specialized training workshops, enabling participants to engage with tourism experts, expand their knowledge, and stay current with industry trends, further strengthening their ability to promote the Maldives effectively.
