On the 28th of April 2019, the Versatile Excellence Travel Awards (VETA 2019) was held in V Hotel Dubai of the Curio Collection by Hilton. It is one of the largest world travel award show with lots of major international and multinational travel corporations participating.
The main highlight for the Maldives at the VETA 2019 was the awards received by a Maldivian travel corporation and to its resorts. While Villa Hotels & Resorts was awarded the ‘Leading Leisure Resort Brand in the Maldives’, Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa was awarded the ‘Best Luxury Resort in the Maldives’.
As the industry blooms rapidly with new resorts opening each year in the Maldives, it is undoubted that the Maldives will gain more and more international travel awards in the years to come.
