Discerning guests can also dine amongst the treetops at Terra while enjoying spectacular views of the ocean and horizon, or bask in the magnificent sunset at Amber, the resort’s signature bar.
Forbes Travel Guide’s editorial department determined five nominees from its highest performing luxury hotel posts on FTG’s own Instagram account for 2020. Then FTG asked its readers and followers to select their favorite feed in an online survey. Thousands voted in the contest.
“Even though the pandemic paused many travel plans, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi allowed us to experience the turquoise waters, the powdery sand, unusual treetop dining and more virtually,” says Filip Boyen, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide. “The hotel transported us to the Maldives through its Instagram account and gave us endless wanderlust.”
