The Maldives wins the prestigious position of the World’s Leading Dive Destination 2018 at the Grand Final of The World Travel Awards held last evening at Pátio da Galé in Lisbon, Portugal. The Maldives once again secured the prestigious position after fierce competition with top tourist destinations such as Seychelles and Mauritius.

World travel awards are well-known as the highest and most exclusive award ceremony in the Travel and Tourism industry. It is also renowned as the “Oscars of the Travel Industry.” Established in 1993, it is widely regarded as the best networking opportunities in the travel industry among industry leaders, governments, luminaries’ international print, and broadcast media.
